This message serves to announce the nominating convention for the New Caucus slate for the next unionwide election, as well as to request nominees for NYSUT/AFT delegates.

The New Caucus will hold its nominating convention for the 2027-2030 Slate for the PSC Executive Council on Saturday, December 12, at 10am on Zoom. The registration link is here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/efXm07xvQpSMBLIhx5VRUg

Eligibility to Vote:

In order to vote in the nominating convention, new members (those who have never been a member of the New Caucus) have to pay membership dues by October 12, 2026. Information on membership dues and a link to pay dues are available here.

Eligible voting members include past members who have been dues paying members of the New Caucus in previous years, and have paid their dues electronically for 2026-2027 as of December 7, or have paid their dues by snail mail for 2026-2027 as of December 1. Renewing members who pay their dues after December 7 will be permitted into the Zoom as observers but will not be eligible to cast a vote. To join/rejoin and pay, go to the membership form.

Request for NYSUT/AFT Delegate Candidates:

The Governing Board is also soliciting applicants for the New Caucus Slate for NYSUT/AFT delegate positions. The primary responsibility of this position is to be available to participate and vote on policy in the NYSUT annual convention and/or the AFT biennial convention.  The New Caucus can put forward up to 100 candidates for these positions.
