On August 3, at 12pm, the New Caucus will be holding a one hour workshop on the “The Basics of Collective Bargaining”. Led by New Caucus Coordinator and School of Labor and Urban Studies adjunct faculty member Claudia Shacter-deChabert, the workshop will focus on the nuts-and-bolts of collective bargaining and contract negotiation. With the next round of PSC-CUNY contract negotiations starting in Spring 2023, New Caucus leaders thought it would be very useful for caucus members and other union activists to educate ourselves regarding the fundamentals of contract negotiation.
