Next New Caucus Meeting Dec. 1

Our next New Caucus membership meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10am to 1pm. It will be held at the Murphy Institute, now the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, located at 25 W. 43rd Street, 19th Floor, Rooms B, C, and D.

The primary purposes of the meeting are the election of the New Caucus Governing Board and the spring 2019 PSC Chapter elections, as well as other Caucus business.  Only members in good standing can vote.  You can renew your membership and pay your dues online (use the membership tab at the top of the page) before the meeting or at the door.

Please note that according to the NC bylaws, “candidates for the Governing Board may self-nominate or be nominated by someone else at the general meeting or in writing to the coordinators at least two weeks prior to the meeting.”

If you are unable to attend and would like to nominate yourself or another person, please email Iris at Iris.delutro@gmail.com.  In addition, members who cannot attend the meeting and are nominated by someone else must communicate their acceptance of the nomination to the coordinators before the meeting.

We include the link to NC bylaws so members can read the section on how GB is elected and what role it plays:https://newcaucus.wordpress.com/bylaws-2/.
